WHO WE ARE First Baptist Church Preschool is a ministry of First Baptist Church Elk Grove. We believe each child is a unique and precious individual, created in the image of God, who will learn and develop at his/her own pace and in his/her own style. We believe the family is the primary and most important provider of care and nurturing and the most important teacher of values and morality. Our role is to support and assist the family in this endeavor. Our aim is to present children and their families "perfect in Christ" (Colossians 1:28-29), to enable them to proceed and attain Christian maturity through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We desire to provide a secure and orderly environment where children will find love, acceptance and encouragement to maximize their potential. We recognize that children develop and grow at different rates. We will offer developmentally appropriate activities for each child to grow spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically through hands-on exploration, problem solving and personal interaction. Children will be encouraged to express themselves in language, art, music, dramatic play and exploratory learning. Our program will be a balance of self and teacher directed experiences, individual and group activities, and open and close-ended curriculum. All of our activities will be Biblically sound, age appropriate, and culturally relevant. |
